Maruti Alto 800 launch gives sleepless nights to Eon and Spark

The highly sophisticated and very well admired small car, Maruti Alto 800 has finally been launched into the Indian domestic auto market by the country’s largest passenger car maker, MSIL. The country’s most trusted company launched new Alto 800 in India at affordable and competitive price range. Just like earlier Alto, the new model of the vehicle has also been offered in both petrol and CNG fuel options as well as a large choice of variants.

Maruti Alto 800 price in India is between Rs 2.40 lakh to Rs. 3.52 lakh (Ex-showroom Delhi). Its petrol model is available in four variants like Std, LX, LXI and LXI Airbag. All these variants of the vehicle are available between Rs. 2.40 lakh to Rs. 3.10 lakh. Its CNG trim comes in choice of three variants Std CNG, LX CNG and LXI CNG which are priced between Rs. 3.15 lakh to Rs. 3.52 lakh. At this competitive and affordable price it is giving tough competition to Hyundai Eon and Chevrolet Spark.


Maruti Alto 800 features are advanced which prove it a premium hatchback and tough challenger of the same segment cars like Eon and Spark. The company has equipped its new small car with features of adjustable seats, folding rear seats, moulded door trims, height adjustable front seats, dual tone interiors, intergrated antenna, digital odometer, air conditioner, remote fuel lid opener, front door locks, low fuel warning lamp, fabric upholstery, power windows, remote boot opener, power steering, body colored door handles, tail gate handles, internally adjustable ORVMs, driver airbag, engine immobilizer and wheel covers etc. comfort, convenience and safety features.

India’s largest carmaker has loaded the new Alto 800 with a re-tuned 0.8L, 3-cylinder engine that has displacement of 796cc and churns out sheer power of 48 PS at 6000 rpm and peak torque of 69 Nm at 3500 rpm. Power of the engine goes to wheels via a 5-speed manual gearbox. Maruti Alto 800 mileage for petrol model is 17.5 kmpl of mileage in city and 22.74 kmpl on long roads as per ARAI tests. On the other hand, CNG model of the vehicle also carries the same power train but its mileage is heart-winning like 25.5 kmkg in city and 30.46 kmkg on highway. 



Overall the new beast by MSIL has been the first choice of every small car buyer of India since its launch. It is available in six vibrant colors like Superior White, Blazing Red Pearl, Silky Silver, Granite Grey, Frost Blue and Torque Blue Pearl.
